Adult Dating Sites Are Being Promoted Through A Spam Botnet
Cyber Security Website Krebsonsecurity.com is currently studying a botnet that is actively being used to promote adult dating website. Although the study is going fine, in the current news it has been revealed that it has hit a firewall.
The research has been released to the public to see if any other researchers are studying it. The botnet started promoting adult sites back in October 2016 and since then the number of botnets being used have reduced but are still out there. When it started, there were at least 1.2 million servers involved which are now around 50,000 to 100,000 in total.
