Gaps In Cyber Security Require Half A Million Jobs To Fill
Cyber Security threats are on the rise as technology advances. To tackle this, Macquarie University and Optus will join hands together to create a new $10 million cyber security center to fill the global outage of security employees in order to fight back threats in communication systems and information technology.
John Paitaridis, the managing director of Optus Business said that at least half a million jobs in cyber security are required to fill the worldwide outage on security experts. He also said that organizations currently lack the expertise needed to fight back new cyber security threats.
Both organizations are ready to contribute $5 million to the new center which will be named Optus Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub
