Intel Looks Serious To Sell Cyber Security Business
Intel is planning or selling its Intel Security business. This could include the antivirus software maker McAfee which Intel acquired for $7.7 billion around 6 years ago.
The chipmaker giant is talking to various banks and looking at different options for the future of its cyber security department in a deal that is quite possibly the largest in the industry.
Intel has declined to comment on the news. But sources close to the company have revealed the chipmaker is indeed looking at their options.
With cyber threats on the rise, plenty of private equity buyers are showing interest in cyber security companies.
