Lawsuit filed by ACLU Over U.S. Anti Hacking Law
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) just filed a lawsuit in US Federal court on Wednesday. This case challenged the constitutionality of an anti hacking law that was passed. The argue was that it prevents the academics and others from obtaining any data in order to investigate online algorithms and whether they are discriminatory or not.
The filed lawsuit claims that Computer Fraud and Abuse Act infringes the Constitution’s first amendment protections of speech, the right to petition and the press.
The lawsuit was brought in with the help of university professors and First look media.
