Rising Cyber Crime Figures Has Caused Police To Start An Awareness Campaign
Police chiefs fround around the country were called for a national campaign against online crime and fraud as the scale of online theft is increasing day by day. A new study recently revealed that nearly 1 in 10 people are now more likely to be a victim of online fraud or offence. Around 6 million people were victims of cybercrime last year.
What is even more alarming is that this number is far greater than the cyber security authorities initially estimated at last October. In other news, cybercrime is also quickly taking over traditional crime which has led the police to start an awareness campaign.
