Symantec All Set To Buy Blue Coat
Symantec Corp. is planning to by cybersecurity company Blue Coat Systems Inc for $4.65 billion. It will give the company new ways to offer cyber defence technologies. A new chief executive will also be decided after the deal is done.
Blue Coat’s current Chief Executive Greg Clark will be taking another role at Symantec if the deal gets done. The deal is expected to finish before October. An official announcement will be made soon.
Symantec has also been searching for a reliable CEO after Michael Brown stepped down in April which resulted in disappointing financial results. This move could help them find one.
